Arrived with wife and 10 children when he was 56 years of age. Had been a lecturer at St. Mary's Chiswick and on of the instructors of the Princess (Queen) Victoria. Became the first incumbent of the Paterson River district. Died as the result of an accident in 1846 and was buried outside the east window of the Paterson Church. An appeal to raise funds for the renovation of his cenotaph in the churchyard
